1. Our Commitment

EVA ASSOCIATES LTD t/a PURE FINISH INTERIOR (“we”, “us”, “our”) guarantees the quality of our workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of practical completion of the works.

This guarantee applies to painting and decorating services carried out directly by our employees or approved subcontractors at the property specified in the quotation and invoice.


2. What Is Covered

We guarantee that:

  • All preparation and application of paints, stains, varnishes, wallpapers and decorative finishes have been carried out with reasonable care and skill.

  • Work has been completed in accordance with agreed specifications and industry standards.

  • Materials supplied by us have been applied in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.

If, within 12 months, a defect arises that is directly attributable to faulty workmanship, we will:

  • Inspect the reported issue; and

  • Repair or rectify the defective area at no additional labour cost.


3. What Is Not Covered

This workmanship guarantee does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Accidental damage, impact damage, abuse, or neglect.

  • Damage caused by leaks, damp, structural movement, condensation, mould, or water ingress.

  • Failure of underlying surfaces or previously applied coatings.

  • Cracking caused by building settlement or structural movement.

  • Materials, fixtures, or finishes supplied by the customer.

  • Colour fading due to UV exposure.

  • Issues arising where recommended preparation or repairs were declined by the client.

  • Commercial misuse or abnormal environmental conditions.

This guarantee does not include the cost of redecorating areas beyond the defective workmanship.


4. Manufacturer Warranties

Where paints or materials carry a manufacturer’s warranty, those warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. We do not extend or replace any manufacturer guarantees.


5. Notification Procedure

To make a claim under this guarantee, you must:

  1. Notify us in writing within the 12-month guarantee period;

  2. Provide reasonable details and photographs of the issue; and

  3. Allow us reasonable access to inspect and, if necessary, carry out remedial works.

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe to arrange inspection.


6. Limit of Liability

This guarantee is limited to the repair or rectification of defective workmanship only.

We shall not be liable for:

  • Consequential or indirect losses;

  • Loss of use of the property;

  • Any costs incurred without our prior written agreement.

Nothing in this guarantee limits or excludes your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.


7. Transferability

This guarantee applies solely to the original client named on the invoice and is not transferable without our written consent.


8. Governing Law

This guarantee shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
